What is RSS?

RSS allows "syndication" of online content, meaning news items are made available to any Web site or RSS news aggregator in a simple XML format.

What Can I Do With an RSS Feed?

If you're using the latest versions of Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox click on the link and see how RSS feeds work. Simply bookmark the link and check back often to read the updates. Or if you'd like to have the news come to you try adding the URL of a feed to a news aggregator, and you will be alerted any time an update is posted. There are many aggregators available — some are software which you install on your computer, others are online applications. A few of the more popular are NewsGator, AmphetaDesk, FeedDemon and Radio UserLand.
