What is Red Carpet Day?

Red Carpet Day (RCD) is a program sponsored by the Student Alumni Board (SAB) with the help of the Arkansas Alumni Association, intended to personally introduce a select group of high school students to the University of Arkansas. While this event may be most beneficial to sophomore and junior students, attendance is open to any high school student whose parent is an alumnus/a of the University of Arkansas. Parents and students are given the opportunity to speak with U of A faculty and students, tour the campus and learn about the traditions associated with the U of A.

How much does RCD cost?

Absolutely nothing! RCD is a free event hosted by SAB for you and your parent(s) or friends. Your only costs will include traveling expenses and lodging expenses (if you are planning on staying overnight).

How do I make arrangements to attend RCD?

Please complete an online registration or if you have any questions, please contact us at 479-575-3510, or sab@uark.edu.

What do I do if I need to cancel?

If you find that you cannot attend after you have registered, please contact us. This will allow us to adjust meal counts and room capacities.

What if I cannot attend on the RCD date?

The Office of Admissions would be happy to arrange a campus visit with a Student Ambassador if you cannot attend RCD. You can schedule a visit online or call 1-800-377-8632.

If I cannot attend RCD, will it affect my admission to the U of A?

No. RCD is designed to help you learn about the University of Arkansas and what we have to offer. The Student Alumni Board has no influence upon the decisions made by the Office of Admissions.
