Get Involved

The following guide helps you get started as an Alumni Ambassador. All Alumni Ambassadors are required to complete 4½ hours of volunteer work each year to remain an active Arkansas Alumni Ambassador.

College Fairs

College fairs give Alumni Ambassadors the opportunity to meet with prospective students. As a University of Arkansas representative, ambassadors can share their experience with future Razorbacks and highlight the advancements of the University.

Adopt a School

Through the Arkansas Alumni Ambassadors' Adopt a School program, ambassadors meet with counselors to distribute information, and learn of new student prospects.

Refer a Student

Our alumni and friends often have contact with some of the best and brightest students from across the nation, and we need your assistance to make sure that these students are on our lists.

Hog Calling

Volunteer by contacting admitted students in your area each week, this is very important since statistics show that although a student may have been admitted that does not make his decision final. With your help we can stay connected to the admitted students and encourage them to make that final decision and come to the University of Arkansas.

The Alumni Recruiting Coordinator will provide you with a list of admitted students (no more than 10) to call.

Scholarship Distribution

Help with the distribution (handing out) of awarded scholarships.

Adopting a Community

Volunteer by adopting a community lets you serve as a University of Arkansas representative for minority recruitment in your area. This means visiting with counselors, preachers, community centers, and other areas where students maintain a presence.

Receptions & Luncheons

Volunteer by attending local chapter or University sponsored student send-off and recruiting receptions and student dinners.
