Career FAQs
The following is a list of questions that we have compiled over the years that we believe could help those interested in career networking with the Arkansas Alumni Association.
I'm looking for a job; can you help me find one?
As the Arkansas Alumni Association is not a staffing firm, we will help provide you resources and tools along with a network of connections to help you find a job.
I'm a member, can I post jobs?
Yes, members can post available positions online. You will first have to make a profile for your company and then post a position.
How can I use the online directory to network?
You can search out old classmates, search for alumni in your area, search for alumni at specific companies or within particular industries, and search alumni with the same majors or interests.
I'm moving, how can I connect?
Check to see if there is a local alumni chapter in the area that you are moving to. If so, see when their next event is and attend. You can also look up alumni through the online community.
Do you have listings of job openings?
Yes, we have a listing of job openings that alumni post through the online community.
Do I have to be a member of the Alumni Association to use the Career Center?
No, alumni are allowed full services through the Career Development Center including resume revision assistance, career counseling and more. Because the Career Development Center mainly services students, they only post entry level positions on eRecruiting. eRecruiting is available for alumni, to gain access please contact the CDC at (479) 575-2805 for information on how to log in to eRecruiting.
Do I have to be a member to access the Association’s Career Network resources?
Yes, the career network is available as a benefit of membership in the Association. The career network features positions requiring a degree and/or experience. Access to the online directory, which many alumni use as a networking tool, is also a benefit of membership.
