Another scholarship funded!! Over $500 at George Strait
Saturday night, Dennis and Judi Strobel, Scott Clement, and Wayne Hardy helped raise enough money to fund a one-year Capital Chapter scholarship to the University of Arkansas. We had fun making friends with some of the (repeat) customers but it was a long night; we didn’t finish until after 10:30 and George didn’t finish until around 11:30. Thank You! The Capital Chapter selects and awards $1000 scholarships to Central Arkansas students attending the U of A. The Chapter raises $500 and the UofA Foundation matches the $500 so every $500 we raise funds one scholarship. Chapter concession volunteers will top $1000 for Jan-March – enough for 2 scholarships!
Capital Chapter Elects 2010 Board
The Capital Chapter recently held elections for the 2010 calendar year. Ron Rainey will now assume the role of membership chair and past president. The Chapter would like to thank Ron for doing an outstanding job and for being instrumental in leading the Chapter through the strategic planning process.
